A storm-tossed flower seed far from home. A glittering high-heeled shoe with a stompy heel and a longing for the circus. A fishing pole with a secret fear. A snowflake that will dance, no matter what.
PlayWrite invites you to WordVoice - an hour-long showcase of minty-fresh plays and songs written in 2010. This year, for the first time ever, we will have two showings, one at 5pm and one at 8pm.
Written by creative young writers from Portland Night High School, New Avenues for Youth, Merrick School/ChristieCare, Rosemont School, White Shield Center, Mt. Scott Learning Center.
Brought to life by some of Portland's finest performers, including Valerie Day, Amaya Villazan, Michael Stone, Timothy Scarrott, Alyson Osborn, Grace Hsu Shapiro, Spencer Conway, Cecily Overman, Doug Fraser, Molly Scholz, Michael Tevlin, Gareth Tabor, Deirdre Atkinson and Shawn Price.
